Avaliação da contribuiçãoWith the family I spent my mums birthday here and I was absolutely blown away by the level of service and quality of the food. From homemade pasta, delicate seafood and meat carefully matched with the finest wines. Let everything on the menu tempt your taste buds and surprise you with well rounded decadent tastes that reflect a modern palette with traditional Italian flavours.Truly a hidden gem as i have walked hundreds of times up and down Ackland street and only found it by a friends recommendation. Now I pass on my recommendation so people can enjoy such a great experience as my own.
Absolutely the best Italian for lunch in St Kilda. The spaghetti Vongole and blue swimmer crab soufflé are to die for. The restaurant is small and can feel cramped when full, but its worth it for the food and service
Superb food in this genuine restaurant . Cannot fault it. Hard to find but local businesses will happily direct you.
A family member recommended Cicciolina so we figured it couldn't be too bad. Unfortunately we didn't enjoy it, we came with 6 adults and 1 child and the placed us at a table right near the kitchen and bar area and placed the high chair in a walk way so everyone kept bumping into our daughter making her very annoyed. The food was rather good and the portions were decent but the staff on the day weren't all that helpful or friendly so we wouldn't go back again
Been to Cicciolina several times . Food is generally of high standard as it was on this occasion . But it was a very unpleasant experience . They don't take bookings for dinner . So you have to take pot luck on getting a table . The seating is very cramped and there is not enough space for the staff to get around the tables . It only took less than 1 minute until the waiter bumped into the back of my chair which sent me bent over the table . No sorry , nothing . This happened again and again . On one occasion the blond waiter stood on my foot . Still nothing . Then whilst removing plates she elbowed me in the arm . She dropped the plate which smashed . Still no sorry not a mummer . I could go on . I didn't make a seen , I just wanted to get out of there . Pity a good meal spoiled . Oh and yes she came back to the table and asked for a tip . The tip I would like to give her would be slow down and treat your guests with respect and show some common manners . The local pub up the road is 100 times friendlier and more pleasant . My tip if you have to go there is seat with your back to the wall .Still angry and I went there last night . Be warned .
