Folks are usually fine as long as you let them know. after waiting 30 minutes we finally asked ETA. 20 min more our server said. Apparently there is a sign out front. We missed it and the waitress complained no one reads it. Hmmm. Should have said wicked long wait in big red letters but it didn't. Folks around us were forced to take theirs to go finally as they had other commitments. We did also as we ran out time. Fortunately the food was very good. Had to shovel it down as we were now almost late for our appointment but very good. To summarize: enjoy Zeke s if you have a couple of hours to devote to breakfast. Specials were creative and everything looked delicious. Guessing the long delay is related to their brisk take out business which takes precedence over in person diners.
Dont come here on a weekend if you have something planned afterwards. We got seated quick but it took forever to get a menu and even longer to get our food. The food was ok.
A tiny but evidently popular breakfast/lunch place that serves up great eggs, pancakes, and other goodies. I had a light and fluffy buttermilk pancake; my husband had egg and sausage on a biscuit. Coffee is no big deal but then we like espresso, not your typical cup of Java.
Zeke’s Place is a small hole in the wall place. It’s small and not exactly the cleanest feeling place but over all not bad. The food was good but not great. They have cheap affordable breakfast options and some not more mid priced options. I got the Irish Benedict with sweet potato hash browns. I really liked the Irish Benedict. It had cornbread hash on it and the corn beef was true shredded corn beef. The sweet potato hash browns were too greasy and I did not like them. They do have gluten free options for bread and English muffins. A plus for my husband who had a gluten allergy. If your looking for a simple basic dinner type breakfast it’s not bad.
First, all of our food was amazing and delicious and worth the wait. Second, service is very, very slow. There is a warning on the door that said home made to order food is slow, so that was nice. But, we did not expect 45 minutes from order to getting food. It would have been helpful if we got an update from the waitstaff.... Or if we were offered a alice of bread/toast, or fruit. We were so hungry waiting for 45 minutes!!
