Arigatou Sushi Teppanyaki - Gold Coast

I'm really surprised how negative the reviews are here. My experience was great every time I was there. The service was amazing, the lady at the counter is super beautiful and has a wonderful smile. The food presentation was also at the top. Some minor feedback the chicken in my chicken Udon was very, very salty, which was aggravated by the soup more on the salty side as well (the soup was great though). Your prawn udon is beautiful. The prawn tempura is served separately from the noodle soup to keep it crispy. I also love her Takoyaki (it comes on a plate with some salad when you dive, but I took it away because I knew I couldn't finish everything in a session).

The best Japanese food on the Gold Coast. Cheap and good quality, are served by the friendly staff in Genki Sushi. Have been here regularly for 5 years and are away from Southport, but my partner and I still make weekly trips to Australia Fair only for the food from this place!

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The $5 lunch special is a good deal in terms of portion size, but the quality of the food was awful. My curry was served in a takeout container, despite dining in. This is not only bad for the environment, but also takes away from the dining experience. The curry had no flavor and seemed like it was just a packaged mix. The Teriyaki Chicken did not taste authentic at all. I do not recommend this place. It may be cheap at $5, but the taste of the food is more important. I would rather pay more for something decent.

Curry must be in a bowl. You can't eat it when it's on a plate. Please change it back into a bowl.

Was without a doubt the worst sushi experience ive ever had. Ive never seen my kids throw away uneaten sushi before. Id love to just say the food had no flavour but we werent that lucky. In a word, Spoiled is the flavour we got and if it wasnt spoiled it was the closest thing too it and i wouldnt have know that was cheese in it if she hadnt told me so. My daughter felt ill after eating it. First and last rime eating there. The pricing was irrelevant since we threw it all away and had to go buy decent food thereby essentially doubling my costs
