Apple Alley Cafe - Grass Valley

Apple Alley is our second favorite restaurant in the city (South Pine Cafe is our top pick). One of the best features of Apple Alley is its wonderful owners and staff. Additionally, it's located just far enough from the city center that it’s rarely crowded, so we never have to wait. The food is generally excellent, though sometimes the portion sizes can be smaller. However, the service has always been outstanding. We tend to order the same dishes each time, so we can't really speak to the specials. Overall, the food is great, the service is fantastic, and the owners are exceptional. If you find yourself in the area, definitely give it a try!

We have dined at this restaurant several times. There are two main areas: one for burgers, salads, pizza, and other casual menu items, and a fine dining section featuring seafood, pasta, prime rib, tri-tip, and more delightful dishes. Tonight, we enjoyed the fine dining experience, which was fantastic. Amy, our waitress, was exceptional and ensured that our visit was enjoyable. Will we return? Absolutely! The atmosphere was lovely, and both the food and service were excellent. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

The food was delicious, but as we were there at Mother's Day, the staff seemed overwhelmed. Everyone was very friendly, but orders were not delivered in a way that allowed us to eat together and the coffee fluently presented a real problem. Overall, good experience... we always enjoyed Apple Alley.

Wonderful ambiance! The upscale seating area features comfortable booths and cozy tables. The staff was attentive, and even the owner made an appearance. The live music was fantastic, with Frankie providing a great atmosphere. The food was freshly prepared and exquisite. The wine selection was impressive, ranging from Barefoot to Bogle. The drive through the foothills to this hidden gem is beautiful, making it well worth the trip. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable experience!

Tasty food, great service, good coffee! I'm usually there for breakfast and they are a bit on the pricy side, but worth it if you some good country dining!
