Avaliação da contribuiçãoMy mom and I visited for happy hour and really enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and service! The happy hour menu is great and the food and drinks are very flavorful! The Cajun deviled eggs are delicious and the voodoo shrimp is fantastic! I will definitely be visiting for happy hour again!
I love this place but just realized the happy hour is trash. Which is why its getting 4 stars. My cousins wanted to come here for happy hour and its nothing to get excited about. The drinks is only a $1 off and the food is like $2-3 off. Not worth the drive for happy hour if you ask me. Food is amazing though. Just come regular time. I wish the happy was better.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I found this place online. The reviews drew me in and I'm glad it did. The food was fantastic as well as the service. If I didn't have to drive all the way to Houston, TX from GA to enjoy the food I'd try everything on the menu. Everything we ordered was amazing, the food, drinks, and desserts were great.
The food here is amazing!, I got the zydeco chicken and my wife got the redfish both were amazing!!! we also got the oyster Bienville it was really good. Our server Georgina was great! Definitely will be coming back here again.
I finally stopped in here this evening on my monthly self-care afternoon near Baybrook. My delay in coming here was mostly due to skepticism: I’ve been underwhelmed by most of the Cajun/Creole food in town. But I had a craving so today was the day. Having apparently slipped in throughout the side door, it took a few minutes before I was noticed by staff. But that was okay because I was taking in the atmosphere. At around 4:45pm the bar was empty so I happily sat there. I ordered a bourbon old fashioned and a bowl of seafood gumbo (pictured . The gumbo was exactly what I hoped for in flavor and freshness, hearty sausage, perfectly cooked shrimp and dewy bits of crabmeat throughout. For the old fashioned, I tried it with Milam Greene Rye and was so delighted with the flavors and story of this local woman owned distillery that I decided to try some more of their bourbon. I had an ounce each of the Castle Hill Series and Single Barrel (see photos . The Castle Hill was honestly the best bourbon I’ve ever had, heavy on cherry notes and with an extreme smoothness that belied its 55 proof. The single barrel came through heavy on banana scent and would’ve gone great with my bananas foster if I had waited to drink it. That dessert (pictured was heavenly and the kitchen was able to make it gluten free for me. (Note: they have a whole gluten free menu that’s much more than boring salads! See photo. The bartender, James, was highly knowledgeable and made wonderful recommendations. He showed me the most extensive bourbon list I’ve EVER seen, including options for making one’s own flights. He also gave me some tastes of other bourbon. It will be lovely to sip my way around this menu on subsequent visits! I should also mention that the other customers were friendly, the restrooms were spotless, and I didn’t feel judged in there even though at 38, dressing like a mature adult human was/is NOT a feature of my self-care days. It seems to be a come-as-you-are place, though I imagine some people do dress up to visit.
