Avaliação da contribuiçãoA private function restaurant located beside a busy road. Tour guides will bring you here to feed you subpar food. It's clean and has toilets, this is also most likely where you will collect your rental car if traveling by car. Nothing to write home about.
Flys in the fruit, ants in the coffee cups, service was lacking to say the least. I had no choice but to go here while on my tour, if I had a choice it would not be to this place. The best thing was the very nice man making animals out of glass in the foyer entrance. Very cool and reasonably priced.
Out transport company brought us here from Tortuguero, basic Costa Rican lunch and a transport place to pickup your rental car, or your tour company to pick you up for your tour.
We stopped here twice once for breakfast on the way from San José to Tortuguero which was nice but we should have been there a day earlier, but that was the fault of the 'airline ' known as Avianca. After the problems were resolved, and in a strange reversal of fortune, we managed to have much more time to try to see sloths while the others were having breakfast. The security guard at the main gate was very helpful once we 'd walked back from the group and were trying to see/identify sloths. That guy was great as he even took out a pen and paper to draw the tree on the other side of the road, and where the sloths were. Needless to say I couldn 't see them initially and yet took loads of photos all the same. When we passed through here for lunch on the way back from Tortuguero, heading towards Tilajari Lodge we found out it was dry. One of our travelling companions asked for a beer to accompany his lunch and was told they didn 't/don 't serve alcohol. Just so people are aware in advance
Nice pit stop for exchanging buses or rides between travels Arenal, San Jose, Tortuguero, and Limon. The buffet breakfast or lunch is very nice if you have to get up early like I did in Arenal to make it to Tortuguero. A great chance to meet people in between excursions.
