Avaliação da contribuiçãoI was visiting the area and went to Hang Five Beach Bar Grill for lunch. They had the most amazing blackened mahi mahi tacos and fried grouper sandwiches! We chose to get the food by takeout since we were staying nearby, but from what I could tell, service was excellent and the environment seemed comfortable, especially the outdoor seating. Since it's seafood, it's slightly pricier than what you might expect for a meal, but it was well worth the money. Sad to hear that they're closing.
It absolutely sucks that y'all sold out to Senior Frogs. We loved our local hangout beach spot great food, great drinks amazing views with beach access.
First time here for me! My husband ordered the Mardi Gras Seafood pasta which had SO MUCH seafood in it, I was shocked! Usually it's all pasta! I ordered the crab cake plate which came with pasta alfredo and asparagus. It was to die for! The succulent crab cakes, grilled asparagus which was so fresh and the perfect amount of pasta with light alfredo sauce. An amazing first dinner to start our week off in PCB. Not to mention the two Hang Five Punch drinks I had
First time to visit this place. Wanted to try some place new to us. I had the Blackened Mahi Tacos. Wife had the Grilled Mahi entree. Food came out quick, hot and fresh. Seasoning on my Blackened Mahi Taco was excellent. Fish a little overdone (but very little). Wife's fish was very bland. Adding salt did not help much. Discussed this with the server and she admitted that people like to add salt. I'm thinking that seasonings should have been used during cooking and not added afterwards. Different result. Was hoping this feedback would make its way to the chef, but I doubt it. Learned that we could have ordered my wife's dish blackened rather than grilled. Although not listed on the menu. We will likely visit again sometime in the future, but won't rush back. In my opinion this place deserves about 3.5 stars. Funny side note: when questioning the server about a beer on the menu, I asked her if it was an IPA. No, she replied, it's a India Pale Ale.
Wait was over an hour long. Then, when we were seated, there was an issue with adding an extra chair to our table for my small child. We had to get the chair ourselves from downstairs and carry it up, since my son was left standing for about ten minutes after we were seated with five chairs. Food was great, service was not. We ended up getting another table 's order right after our appetizers came. It just so happened to be the exact same order that four of the six of us ordered, minus two entrees for my husband and son. It was a strange experience as we kept thinking their food was going to come out at any moment, and then our server let us know they got two tables confused and that the rest of our table 's order would be much later. Then, as I and the rest of us who received our meals were eating, the other two family members had to wait until we were finished. This was less than ideal. When we politely spoke to the manager, to make him aware of our situation, (he had fully comped the other table) he said we were, lucky to have gotten some of our food out early. He ended up comping our two most expensive items, yet there was no apology and an attitude of arrogance when we mentioned our inconvenient experience. I would not recommend this restaurant.
