Lucky Garden - Hallowell

Lucky garden has been here since my childhood, maybe longer. everyone has his favorite Chinese restaurant and I can't knock this, but they can't really beat this place. Tofu dishes to get these parts is quite rare, and there are a few good ones on the menu. there is a magnificent view of the Kennbec when they eat, but I live a road up, so I don't really get the chance. takeout is super fast! Honestly, there is something for everyone in this classic American Chinese food style that ends just what they want.

I'm here regularly. luck garden is by far my favorite restaurant. they will adapt everything to meet their nutritional restrictions.

While we passed through hallowell, we stopped at the caffe on happycow for lunch, and found absolutely nothing suitable for a vegan meal, so we went. on the way out of town we noticed lucky garden, turned around and checked her menu. there were many tofu and sweet choices and brown rice, so we stayed for lunch. Every day there is a lunch buffet, and it seems that most diners do not order during lunch, so there is a little time to come for our meal. the easy wait was the meal and the intentionally worth it. I ordered brokkoli and tofu with garlic sauce and had a lot to take with me home. the meal was not expensive at all. when I'm back in hallowell, it'll be my lunch break. service was very friendly and accommodating.

Getting tofu dishes around these parts is fairly rare, and there are a couple good ones on the menu. Often, I'll just order some lo mein with no oyster sauce. There's a gorgeous view of the Kennebec inside if you eat in, but I live one street up, so I don't really get the chance. Takeout is super fast, though! Honestly, there's something here for everyone in that classic American Chinese food style that ends up being exactly what you want.
