Avaliação da contribuiçãoWho has never been on a french ship and has just visited hamburg, should take advantage of the chance and visit the cap san diego. one of the last item freighters in front of the break-through of the "Monster container freighter". a way forward, it goes deep down into the naval building, far below the water line and up to the bridge deck. all on partly steep metal stairs. the whole is not barrier-free. there are also audio and video information points distributed on the ship that are worth using. it is impressive how the whole ship is held top in shot. it is also still sea-course and is also used for this. the bordbistro was not visited for time reasons, but had opened. In addition, there are still comfortable cabins that could be booked on the south-america tours. today hotel operation takes place. and if one still sees the radiant eyes of a somewhat 12-year-old boy who also makes the tour with his papa, then one becomes aware of how important such objects are for the real experience of the time history.
The cap san diego is very interesting to see, you get a really good look behind the scenes of such a ship and just as an idea as the life on such a ship is.
Osterbrunch with the family at a special location nice location. the total costs had to be transferred with the reservation. Unfortunately, the offer was quite clear and not so versatile. breakfast without touch and speck, some of which were cold . the staff was very nice and caressful. pity, is really something special on the ship.
We were on the 2nd time. it is worth a trip alone as a maritime museum. everything is as if the occupation is coming and it goes back. all facilities can be visited and function. there are many explanations and always people close to who can answer questions. at the 2nd time, it was then as far as in the frame the entrance parade to the harbour birthday. an unforgettable experience. we like to come back.
If they are interested in sending, this is a must. if they are not, it is still a very good experience at visiting hamburg. the price is about 10 eur and includes a digital guide via headphones. then they can round the largest part of the ship, including bridge, machine space and loading rooms, themselves. they can see and hear a lot of what it was like to be on the lake in the 1960s and 1970s when this ship ran like santos, bahia and rio. these were the times before the ship containers when the loading rooms were loaded by hand with hanging meat, banana boxes and coffee bags. a wonderful place!
