Martello - Hamilton

We visited Antidote tonight based on its many positive reviews, but unfortunately our experience did not match the hype. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and we were seated on the terrace to enjoy the evening. However, it took 20 minutes for a waitress to ask if we wanted water, and she never returned. Another waitress eventually brought us water and took our order, but there seemed to be a lack of communication among the staff, as we noticed food being served to the wrong tables. My beer was not be a draft as requested. Our food, a wood stove pizza and pasta, took another 40-45 minutes to arrive, and no one checked on us during our meal. The food was good, but the service was lacking. When we asked for the bill, the waitress said she would be back with the machine, but after waiting 10 minutes we decided to go inside and pay. Overall, we were extremely disappointed with the service and felt there was a lack of guidance or management in the restaurant.

From start to finish, our dining experience was incredible. The food was top-notch, the cocktails were superb, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant for a date night or any special occasion. My partner and I have dined here multiple times and have always left feeling satisfied and happy. We can't wait to return and indulge in their delicious pizzas, oxtail gnocchi, and squid dishes. It's worth mentioning that everything is made in-house, adding to the overall experience.

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The ambiance was lovely and the service was excellent. We decided to try the brunch menu and we were very satisfied. All the dishes we ordered were delicious and the portions were just right. We highly recommend trying the pizza!

Martello is the best pizza place in hamilton, and their other foods are also excellent (the osso buco is to die for.) if they are on the look for tasty cocktails, craft beer and funny weep, this place is also for them. the atmosphere is great inside and outside when the terrace is open. the staff is friendly and the service is great. What can they ask for more? also make sure to check the baked (on Thursday to Saturday) and other products that they sell near the beginning.

Both times I’ve been to Martello have been great! The atmosphere is so relaxing, exactly the kind of thing I missed after almost 2 years of not eating in restaurants! The menu is small and everything I’ve tried so far has been amazing! My husband and I loved the artichokes. All the pastas are delicious and indulgent! We loved splitting everything we ordered so we could try more things. I don’t really drink but the cocktail abs wine menu looked amazing and the cocktails I saw were so darn pretty I wished I was more of a drinker to enjoy one! And of course the service, perfection! All the servers and hosts were so kind and caring and really took great care of us. I’m excited to come back and try brunch next.
