Avaliação da contribuiçãoI really wanted to love this place as they have a good selection of vegetarian options on the menu. Unfortunately, I have to say my experience was terrible. The chai was the worst I've ever had, tasting like water with coarse bits of powder floating in it. The avocado sandwich was lackluster, with no flavor and I couldn't even finish it. The sitting area is nice but the plants are all dead, and the bathroom was dirty with no way to dry your hands. If you order more than one item to go, good luck balancing it as they don't provide a bag. The owner is friendly and has a great spirit, but the place could use some fresh energy and attention to detail. Overall, there are some improvements needed to make this place better.
We stumbled upon this coffee shop while visiting Watkins Glen at Farm Sanctuary. It was recommended to us by the sanctuary and we love cute little coffee shops, so we decided to give it a try. The owner told us they had a few vegan options available and that most of the vegetarian options could be made vegan. They even had vegan cheese. We both ordered the falafel wrap, which was freshly made to order and highly recommended. It was delicious, with toppings like apples, potatoes, and pickles that all complemented each other well. While there weren't many vegan options in town, this sandwich alone makes it worth a visit. Highly recommended! **Review updated as of September 13, 2021.**
My husband and I were thrilled to discover a restaurant in Hammondsport that serves exceptional vegan food and has an owner/chef who is understanding of our plant-based diet. My husband enjoyed a falafel sandwich, while Asnat, the owner, prepared a delicious apple, tomato, onion, and fresh mint salad for me as I don't eat gluten, along with four plump and divine falafels. The falafels were the best we've ever had! The dish also came with yummy slices of sweet and white potatoes. Asnat was delightful and our time at the restaurant flew by as we relaxed in the cozy living room. We also indulged in a special vegan dessert made from sesame seeds and pistachios, which was simply scrumptious! We even took home some lentil soup for dinner later on. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant next time we are in the area - it exceeded all of our expectations.
Stopped here during our day trip to hammondsport. the owner was very knowledgeable about what “vegan” meant. we have the jerusalem laffa sandwich (home made veggie patty with sweet and tomato sauce) together with the falafel package (falafel, hummus, cubed paprika and apple) both were delicious and filled. the falafel is made fresh to order updated by previous review on 2019-06-09
We came across this place while we were in watkins glen at farm sanctuary. this was on a recommended list that they provided for us and we are huge fans of cute little coffee shops. they had a few vegan options just ask the owner. many vegetarian options and most (if not all) can be modified vegan made. she also has vegan cheese. we both decided to get the falafel packaging, as it was made fresh to order and our recommendations over it. it was amazing not only the falafel, but it contained other toppings, such as apples, kartoffels, and pickles and they all just worked well together. there are not many vegan options in the opposite, but even if it were this place still one has to stop for this sandwich. updated by previous review on 2021-09-13
