J's Crab Shack - Hartford

The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable. I really liked the New England Clam Chowder it was very hot and full of flavor. I got the captains platter which had shrimp, fish, scallops and calamari. I opted for the baked potato which was for an additional fee but was well worth it. My food came in less than 15 minutes I was pleasantly surprised on the speed in which I received my food. As an avid seafood eater I will definitely be back. I highly recommend the experience.

Really satisfied with everything I ordered. I recommend the crab cakes, stuffed clams, fried scallops and lobster bisque. I only wish I had more of their homemade tartar sauce.

Lots of fresh fish on the market/take out side, or they have a dine in area too that had fun decorations and colorful atmosphere going on. I got a lobster roll and I wasnt a huge fan of the roll they put it on compared to some other places in town I've tried, but the Lobster was great! They serve it with Mayo or Butter, and you get a side of fries as well.

I almost loved everything I got here except the over fried the shrimp couldn’t eat it at all. For everyone that likes sweet wine cupcake wine sweet not dry sweet. The 2 things that I loved was the soup it was my first time having this clam chowder soup and the lobster roll kinda wish it had like a sauce mix with lobster and it would have been mouth watering.

The place to go for seafood. Tried the hot buttered lobster roll this time and it was super! Lots of lobster just the right amount of melted butter and the best roll ever.
