The Welcome Stranger - Hastings

Hey all. Just wanted to make a post about the The Welcome pub. Last night I visited as I often do for drink after a long day at work. I actually visit this pub between 3 and 4 times a week. On this particular occasion there was a pub quiz. I sat in a chair and was promptly abused and bullied by a very disgusting lady who was running the quiz. She said I should not be allowed to enjoy the quiz without paying for it. The pub was not privately hired. There was no requirement to pay to enter. The woman in question is the kind of person I consider a cancer on the very fabric of society. A bully. Aggressive. Rude. I only wanted a pint. After gathering my thoughts I stood up for myself and told her I was leaving my local pub that I visit frequently as a result of her behaviour. Her husband became aggressive and the owner asked me to leave. I loved this pub. I have been a regular for many years, but to be treated with such disdain simply for being present has left a very sour taste in my mouth and the aftermath of what happened has even damaged my relationship with my best friend. Please. If anyone cares about mental health. Make a stand. Don't go to the welcome.

Fantastic meal. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. I haven't had chips that good in a long time. This restaurant is a great spot for a meal or a drink. The prices are standard, but the quality of the food surpasses most others. I will definitely be returning.

I recently discovered a fantastic restaurant in my neighborhood, but I must admit, I love how quiet and peaceful it is. At the same time, I want to support them so come with me and show them some love!

Caterer for both my cousins funeral and brother's wedding receptions. Food is always excellent, and the staff are great. Most importantly, they have chickens in the beer garden Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed a rare night out here. Food was good and the staff were friendly. Will go again soon.
