Dickie-Dos BBQ, Haw River, best ribs I've ever eaten in a restaurant. BBQ also pulled pig great. Good Hushpuppies and Cornbread. THURSDAY is $1,00 Rib Day, what a deal. I went back and got 5 more.
Our annual family meetings always use Dickie Do's for the BBQ and everyone loves it. Last week I was in Haw River and decided to stop for taking orders. I have not recognized (as I do not usually dine-in or order individual meals to go here) that no lateral container of the BBQ sauce is placed with togo orders or offered when placing the order (I went inside to place order). Once at home and ready to eat to realize NO sauce, I called to ask. Was informed about a sauce station that was not offered or mentioned during the order. That would be nice to know to take orders. Eating is good, it would have enjoyed more with some sauce. A little disappointed that none of the food workers or cash registers wore masks.
If you didn't give Dickie try, it must try on your list of barbecue. I have the 6 Oz brisket plate with roasted Okra, corn bread and red Slave... DELICIOUS!!! The brisket was delicate, tasty, full-bodied and not dry. The fried okra was fried to perfection where you know your feast on okra... I love well roasted Okra. The maize bread was tasteful, fresh and you can taste the butter you used. The red lawn was dressed too delicious. I will definitely go back to try the other menu items. Last thoughts, lips tasty good!!!
Best pulled pork I've had in a long time, moist and tender. Red slaw a happy medium between white and Lexington red slaw. Hush puppies very good, on the sweet side. Dip was very tasty. Decor understated. Hope to visit again.
