Anyone who doesn't give this spot five stars doesn't know what they are doing.
Great Thai food in a modern cafe atmosphere amidst fresh Asian ingredients and produce. Great value, delicious meal in a casual setting just around the corner from the Capitol Theatre in Chinatown. I'd go back if we weren't boarding a plane today. I had a pork and shrimp dish and my partner had a duck noodle soup - both excellent. Service was attentive and coffees a steal at $2 (even though we didn't have one). Very enjoyable.
After reading an article on FB about the top 10 breakfast cafes you have to try in Sydney and I saw this cafe, I asked my husband if we could try this place. I do not frequent Thai town in the city so finding this place was difficult. We even walked past this place a couple of times not realising we were already there. Problem is, the shop is located inside a Thai grocery. Since it shares the same space with the grocery, there is not much room to move. We did have to wait several minutes to be acknowledged as diners and it took a couple of more minutes to get seats. Our waiter was in a hurry all the time, we felt pressured to order straightaway. After receiving our order, I found that mine did not have the salted egg element, which I was looking forward to eat. It took a while to get the attention of our waiter and when I pointed the matter out he made me think there was no such element in my dish that I even had to show him a picture that I took of their menu. He begrudgingly went to their kitchen and handed over the egg. There was nothing that stood out from the dishes that we've ordered and I felt that the food we ordered were overpriced. I will never come back to this place.
