Avaliação da contribuiçãoThe ice cream and waffles are quite good. However, my main concern, which will likely limit my future visits, is that I often have to request a fresh waffle. Too many times, I've been served a cold waffle that has been sitting out, which really compromises the flavor. During my last visit, the waffles we received were cold and stale. When I touched one and inquired if it was fresh, the staff member said it had only been out for 10 minutes. I was taken aback and gave him a look of disbelief. Then he changed his answer to 20 minutes. I gave him the same look again and politely asked if we could have a fresh waffle instead. He told me it would take about 6 minutes. I was left wondering what the issue was with waiting those 6 minutes for something fresh and tasty. There wasn't a line, and even if there had been, I would gladly wait for food that is made to order. I really enjoy their ice cream with the waffles, but I'm just exhausted from having to constantly ask for fresh food.
I visited this restaurant for the first time, eager to enjoy something refreshing on a sweltering day! It's conveniently located nearby, right across from the now-closed Buffalo Bills (which is really a shame). I decided to try the ube and chocolate taiyaki, along with a waffle corn dog. The ice cream was fantastic, and I have to say, it really did not disappoint! The waffle was wonderfully crispy as well. However, there was a downside—they forgot to give me the waffle corn dog.
We visited on a Sunday afternoon, and the place was surprisingly empty. As soon as we walked in, we were met with unfriendly stares from the staff; not one person greeted us or asked if we had any questions about the menu. To make matters worse, they were out of about half the items on the menu, including the ube ice cream and taiyaki that we had specifically come for. We were informed that it was being restocked, but they didn’t mention how long it would take. So, we opted for a fruit soda instead, which turned out to be overly sweet and mediocre. A little while later, we saw other customers being served the ube taiyaki, so it seems like the wait wasn’t very long after all. Overall, there’s definitely room for improvement in customer service, but I’m still open to giving it another shot.
3.5 stars for the overall experience! SERVICE Was a bit strange trying to navigate through ordering and after ordering. We placed an order over the phone and they weren't the most helpful. They remained quiet on the other end and we had to say hello? A few times because there was no active response. Then when we arrived to pay, they started to make our drinks, however, they couldn't remember what size we ordered and just gave us whatever cup they had available. My sister ordered a large of her Italian soda and they put her drink in a medium cup and didn't say anything until we noticed our cups were the same size. She went up to the counter to compare her cup to the sample they had on display. Only then did they say they ran out of large cups and asked if we wanted a second cup for free. FOOD What makes this even more disheartening is that the food drinks were tasty. HOWEVER, some parts of my food were burnt. Not much but along the sides of the hotdog waffle stick. The cheesy cheese waffle (which was my absolute favorite) wasn't burnt. Apparently, their waffle sticks are a hit or miss with the burning. Not sure if I'll be returning, but if you decide to stop by, the waffle sticks are great! The orange cream milkshake I had was really light and tasted delicious. Kinda like drinking a cloud, lol.
Cute place, this used to be a froyo shop. We ordered ice cream and waffle dogs. Both of which were delicious. Street parking may be difficult but there is a free parking garage in the rear.
