This place was formerly amazing that they were the best pommes and the best burgers and all I don't know what happened, but recently there were new employees and the old staff was nowhere to be found and now the quality of the food is immensely fallen the fries are super soggy the burgers taste like school food it's absolute garbage I don't know what happened, but I don't think I will come back here

Do you want a big burger? That's by far the biggest burger I've ever had, I think it's the monster. I like my burgers with a fried egg on it, so I definitely had to add one on this mammoth. Together with all sauces. If you don't stand for a burger challenge, I suggest the overhang or the mushroom pig. The cat is basically and bbq breakfast burger without rabbit food on it. Tri-tip overwhelming, garlic fries amazing! Sandwich: the meat was thin and overcooked to do well, and so was the burger of my partner... still quite juicy, but very bland. We have forgotten to ask for medium and have not been asked, so your experience could be different. Bread was basically wavy over heat instead of roasted. The garlic friries were absolutely delicious, super garlicky and the order on their own worth. Overall, if it were cheaper, this place would be good for a quick bite, but it is not worth the gurmet price point.

Always happy to find another burger spot that does it right, a lot of places, particularly chains leave me unimpressed, say for instance, Habit burgers. However, rocket char understands something about hamburgers and that is the construction. You can't just go throw a bunch of meat on some bread and call it a hamburger things have to be sliced the right thickness, arranged in the right way, and placed on the right bun, and the patties have to be cooked the right way in order for it to actually qualify as a hamburger, and charburger nails it! The burgers came hot and fresh, with the lettuce and onion nice and crunchy the way I like it, and the fries piping hot right out of the fryer. More and more I'm liking some of the restaurants in this part of Hayward, and I will definitely be coming back to rocket char.
