Avaliação da contribuiçãoGreat place whether a family visit or casual visit on the weekend. First and foremost, most Russian River locations are not going to be glitzy and loaded with a million dollar tasting room and for us locals that is completely fine. ACORN by no means needs it as they produce great varietals that sell themselves. The staff here are top notch and know their trade well, which is always great for those seeking knowledge in the wine realm. The property is basically a converted home located on the beat path, which is an adventure itself! Parking can be tricky during busy times, but is completely doable though. As for the ambiance of the estate, it's almost like being at a relatives home, very comfortable and inviting. There is not a ton of room, but they make do. Now for the wines, I believed they were all quite good, with great complexity and depth along with great notes to expect from the varietals. Price point was on par with the small lot production, varietal, and the area they produce wine in to be honest. I can honestly say my few visits I have had have been great and always look forward to visiting again the future since they have been around for quite some time. An easy recommendation for those wine tasting in the area.
Wonderful wines to taste with Betsy and touring the vineyard with Bill at harvest was a spectacular experience.
A wonderful, informative, and thought-provoking tasting with Betsy and Bill. Unlike other experiences you may find in the bigger wineries. And dog friendly!
Betsy and Bill are such gracious hosts. I loved having the names on the back of the bottle being the same people who poured our glasses. On top of that the wine is fantastic and the vineyard is beautiful. I’d also highly recommend bringing your own charcuterie to have a picnic at the tables after your tasting with the bottles you just purchased.
It’s actually been a couple years since we got to experience an excellent tasting with Bill Betsy at Acorn, but last night brought us back as we really enjoyed this bottle of Axiom Syrah with our lamb chops. Thanks to you both for the flashback through your wine!!
