49th State Brewing Company - HEALY

Just spent a few days in Denali park. Most restaurants were closed down, so this place was our go-to for our three straight dinners. This place is awesome! Great food, good beer, and friendly staff. It was always super busy but I made reservations on Open Table all nights and got seated right away while walk-ins needed to wait. Very cool ambiance with birch tree bar back, propane fire pit bar seating, and lots of other Alaskan decor. Large menu with variety, but not too large. Food came out surprisingly quick. Service was excellent, despite how busy they were. Our last day we decided to get some cool merchandise in their shop inside the brewery too! They also have an anchorage location, which we did not visit but appears to have similar food, drinks, and atmosphere to Denali location based on web search. recommend!

Minute wait to be seated, but they take your phone number and text you when your table is ready. We ran “downtown” to check a couple of shops Great atmosphere, excellent beers, one of the best waitresses I’ve had my whole vacation. Bavarian pretzel and bar cheese made a great app. Yak Burger was top notch. Everything here is great. It’s the one truly excellent restaurant in the Denali area. Everything else has been “our quality doesn’t need to be that great because of limited choices so you’re stuck with us” kind of places. Here they love what they do, they have a passion for it, and it shows.

Great meal and great experience! We had the halibut and the bacon Mac and cheese. Honestly the Mac and cheese was better and definitely more filling. Root beer was great as was the beer. We sat in the fire pit area inside. The place was bustling with activity. Can only imagine what it’s like in the summer with the outdoor spaces open. So happy we stopped!

They're a little short-staffed this year but they sure make up for the lack of people in friendliness per person. Excellent staff and excellent food and excellent beer. They have all the Alaska eats but bear: yak, buffalo, crab, salmon, and halibut offerings in multiple delicious ways. Definitely make it here if you're in Denali

Amazing eating, amazing service! we are here on their last two nights open for the season and had no better experience! everything on the menu looked so delicious we had a hard time to get what! definitely recommend to eat here in the season! outside looked brilliant, but was too cold!
