My brother invited us out and wanted to try this place. We are new to Mississippi and always up to a new experience. We were seated right away and the restaurant is pleasant. Our server was attentive and sweet. There were 4 of us dining and 3 of us were happy with our meals. My brother's order was incorrect and he wasn't all that pleased with the redo. Having said that, he said he would try again. We shall see.
When they first opened I was blown away by how good the food was. The onion rings and crème brûlée were the best I have EVER had! The onion rings were light, crispy, and airy with the prefect seasoning. I was telling everyone I knew about these dang onion rings! Well, they must have a different chef now, because last months onion rings were the worst I have ever eaten! The frozen ones at Kroger using minced onions are better than theses. They were cut SO thick, and then the thick breading on top of that, I couldn’t eat them. They made me gag. I could barely even cut into them! You get a lot for the money, but they were horrible. The peel and eat shrimp were hard to peel and over seasoned with salt. The crème brûlée is still the best, and the server was wonderful. But for the prices, I won’t be going back.
I really enjoyed The Parrish! This was my first time eating there and it truly lived up to the hype! The food and service was phenomenal...I definitely recommend the boudin stuffed pork chop!! We will definitely be going back and recommend this restaurant to everyone!
"The Parish" is an amazing restaurant in every aspect. The food, presentation, atmosphere, and service are all outstanding. I highly recommend this place to both visitors and locals in Hernando.
