Country Kitchen - Hibbing

Great service, good hot coffee. The food was great. Appropriate prices. Once again, I had dinner with the board pickup. Although I had breakfast for dinner, it was absolutely excellent. My eggs were fluffy, my pancakes were perfectly cooked. Professional order exactly what I ordered by Miss Taylea, one of the fine employees in the Hibbing Country Kitchen. The hours are different every day as their staff are allowed. Please be respectful and honor the time they have to close so that the workers can come back to their families. Manger in hibbing today pulled a gun out his waist put his hand on gun to us and said he was going to shoot us today .after telling him the service was very poor today Very scary . Said his parents own the place. And it's private property . And he can do what he wants. He will get somebody hurt soon the way he acts if nothing is done. I dunno if there aloud to have guns there in a public place with kids and stuff . But he did and said he would shoot us . Something needs to be done.

I got the Country Fried Steak with a side of Mac and cheese as well as country baked apples. The steak was a bit too salty for me with a little too much gravy, but that is a personal preference so I see no real issue there, because it was good sized and had an amazing texture. The Mac and cheese was a bit watery, but I don't usually get Mac and cheese so I was not heartbroken- it was still pretty good. My favorite part was the baked apples. The portion was probably about 1/2 an apple and it was AMAZING! The apples were soft but not soggy, there was a great mix of sugar and cinnamon, and they stayed warm for a long while. The pop was good sized but it was $2.59 which is a bit pricey. Overall my meal was $17.05 after tax which -nowadays- is not bad. My server Nicole was kind, personable, and prompt. She was also attending to other patrons at the time but made sure to check up on all of us- she was great! Overall, I would recommend this for a bite to eat with your family or friends, but it's not a one of a kind place.

This was the last day for Country Kitchen, as it will be a Mexican restaurant starting 10/03/22. I hadn't been here as of late due to moving to another town. It was busy, but not surprising for the last hurray. Upon first impressions, the staging was good, but the kitchen ended up being understaffed for the orders. Organization of the food being made was very misconstrued as our food was done in spurts. And dinner of the food was under done, pancakes and eggs. I do hope the best for the new restaurant. There new place will maintain American Breakfast for the mornings.
