The food was very poor. The so called rump of lamb was in fact two thin slices of lamb covered in uncooked white fat which was so hard that the steak knife just could not cut the fat off. The only option was to set the rump to one side and eat the vegetables. Not great. Parking: There is a real problem with parking in Barmouth. Not the Restaurants fault, just the way it is. My wife and I had dinner here and it was excellent . The menu was great, just enough choice and we could have eaten the lot. We shared an amuse bouche ham croquettes, then had a terrine and Waldorf salad starters. Mains were duet of beef and cod on Mediterranean beans with tomatoes and chorizo sauce. We shared a coconut rice pudding. It was all excellent, service was great and there was a really good and reasonably priced wine list too. We have been going to Barmouth for years and we can’t quite figure out why we haven’t been here before, we will definitely be back soon. Highly recommended! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
