Avaliação da contribuiçãoThe moment in which we went, we were greeted with a genuine warm welcome. I'm not a big coffeemaker, but it wasn't bad. the carrot cake was a generous portion and very tasty. highly recommended if they fall in the opposite and prove me wrong.
Decent breakfast, friendly service and good coffee. Suggest that the dodgy old carpets get ditched and upgrade the flooring. (Was happy to find that they could cook scrambled eggs, had tried two previous cafe's and they could only do poached and fried eggs?
Retro used to be a legendary Hobart institution. Sadly, it is a pale shadow of its former self. The service was slow and rude. My breakfast dish was cold, congealed, and poorly presented. My friend's salad was wilted and browning. The whole experience was overpriced, underwhelming and absolutely disappointing. Avoid like the plague. There are so many better offerings at Salamanca.
We shared the experience with Kevin Zhang (below). Not even lunchtime and the waitress couldn’t even be bothered to acknowledge our existence at a table. Here’s a hint people… smile, acknowledge your customers and ask if they wouldn’t mind waiting. Don’t ignore them and sneer. Good times for you if you see customers as expendable through your own rudeness.
Don’t order the nachos. Corn chips and salsa out of a jar. No spice or chilli no flavour very sweet. Poor interpretation of nachos. Friendly staff.
