I 'm more of a dive bar/intimate rock show type of woman but life is all about experiencing new stuff. Clubs are out of my realm but I was in Burbank for a conference and my colleague knew a guy who worked with the bottle service. So we hella got treated well on Saturday night. Prime. I guess if you 're waiting in line at 11pm, you 're hanging with the wrong crowd. I 'd hate to have to wait in the cold. No woman was wearing a jacket except for me. I saw lots of latex body con dresses, natural breasts, fake breasts, fake bootys, stilettos, gold chains, belly buttons, and dudes who looked like upcoming rappers living in the Hollywood hills. Definitely a sight for major people watching. The venue is pretty dope. The first room is an indoor space for smoking and a general place for narcissistic mirror staring. There are some seats. There 's even a window looking into the bar and stage. The main room has bottle service spots along the walls and in the middle couch areas and red carpet services while the standing area is your basic claustrophobic wading pool. All types of people smoked and twerked and kissed and let all of their inhibitions go, if not, their entire soul. They even left their underwear at home. It 's easy to point out thots from regular people; just take a look at their heels and party attitude. Some Fader girl wearing those **** eyewear sunglasses with red tints charged me for a dollar for a cigarette which had a broken filter. I help the poor, sometimes. I felt bad for her cause she kept dozing off while the DJ in a muscle tee and wack tattoos kept screaming, HOLLYWOOD I CANT HEAR YOU, HOW YAH FEELING?! while his videographer shone the camera light into his face. Also, it was everyone 's birthday so HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUSHI! Bottle service is cool. The Persians and Armenians threw it down with Grey Goose after another and another. They were also the only ones smoking cigarettes but the only ones being rejected by the plethora of big booty women. I mean if you 're at a club, I get that you wanna have fun, but when a woman says, back the **** off, then I don 't know, maybe you should back the **** off. Men who partied at LURE just seem to forget about the #metoo movement and that 's just plain sad, Hollywood. Anyway, what else? Hmm I saw a Japanese princess sucking faces with a realtor. Lots of women on stage with their male counterparts Snapchatting like there was no tomorrow. Literally, Snapchating the hell out of the entire DJ set. Women are generally not nice in the bathrooms unlike live band shows. The attendant was super nice though. I liked her! LURE is a great place if you 're super into the club scene and twerking for the masses. It 's definitely not my ~scene~ but it was actually pretty cool to see what the other spectrum of nightlife was like. I can see why LURE is popular, you can just hang your thang out and nobody gives a **** even if it ends up on social media you 're just putting yourself out there for people to get to know your personality... I think?
So this club stepped it up a bit, Lure being our last stop at 1AM on a Saturday night (Sunday Morning). I was very surprised at the size since appearance from the outside looks like a shared textile building. The dance floor is very spacious and open, giving room for a large crowd and keeping you feeling like you 're part of a club, not a can of sardines. I was unable to find the bar, however on the way out I heard it was tucked on the side wall as you enter, a double edged sword for the clubs design since most people at 1AM don 't want to play a 'hide and go seek ' game to find liquor. The music was decent, both DJs keeping the party going and making sure the vibe was set well. The security made frequent passes, making sure everyone was alright, letting people have fun and continue being safe. Lure is a good stop if not a good way to cool down at the end of a long night!
Due to our dates being in the restroom, we lost our main party. We paid $25 for a Club Crawl around Hollywood pass. The Lure was our 4th and final stop. But, like I mentioned earlier, oyr dates were in the restroom. So we fell a bit behind. We get to The Lure with our orange bracelets still on our wrists, and they wanted each of us, (party of 8, who already paid online for the Club Crawl experience) to pay a $20 cover charge. Worst customer service ever. I would not suggest The Lure for any drinking or club experience in Los Angeles, CA. We were having a good night until this shithole. Hard pass and I'm not even drunk.
I don 't even wanna give them a star. I came here a couple of years ago with a bunch of friends. I 'll never forget this incident..Out of no where a girl attacked two people at our table and started punching them in the face. We have no idea why that happened but luckily her friend took her away and left the club. I went to the front to get security and then he goes off on me and was no help at all. I was completely shocked and dumbfounded. I told him what the girl did and he yells do you know what your friend did?! I asked him how he even knew what table I was at and he continued to yell at me in front of many people and was absolutely no help and rude. I will never come back here again.
This review is purely based on the Resident Evil 6 launch party back in 2012 (Yes, way overdue I know) I felt they hosted a pretty good launch party. Nothing better than getting together with other fellow gamers at a nightclub in L.A. with food/booze, hot zombie chicks and musical artists. Pros: free entry décor suited the event live music from popular-ish artists hot zombie chick dancers cosplay attire was allowed Cons: parking super strict bouncer
