High-quality food, with excellent local specialities are served in an unpredictable atmosphere. Very friendly servers offer a personal touch.

The kitchen is traditional and the environment is rustic, that is what you expect and right. The service is attentive, but very slow, I think they were overwhelmed by the events. We didn't like the fact that they served several tables, from people who came before us later. However, the waiter came 2 times to check that everything was fine. There were communication problems because we don't speak German well, and they don't speak English well. Then they served the main dish of one of the diners who was meat with one side of very cold pasta (which they call noodle salad, which is obviously a sacrilege for an Italian. This cold pasta flower was not clear from the menu of the day, we expected a little more refined. Maybe we expected too much. Finally a surprise: You do not accept VISA! So we have made a money collection between us to increase the necessary money to pay the bill. An unexpected catch in 2021... the bill was correct. So there are 3 mistakes (long waiting, misunderstanding about a court, no VISA, but the waiter was ready and helpful, and the bill correctly, so I like to give an additional star for good will.

Absolutely delicious food, wonderful atmosphere, excellent service and late on Sunday open. I recommend a visit!

Wir besuchen das Zappo regelmäßig mit Freunden und Familie, manchmal auch nur auf ein Getränk.Einzigartig ist das Zappo aufgrund seiner urgemütlichen Atmosphäre, das sowohl Studenten als auch Familien und ältere Semester anzieht. Dazu gibt es wirklich hervorragende Salate, deftige Fleisch/Fischgerichte sowie Flammkuchen. Die Tageskarte bietet saisonale Gerichte.Die Portionen sind üppig, die Preise sind moderat.Im Sommer kann man auch sehr schön im Garten draußen sitzen.Reservieren empfiehlt sich, vor allen Dingen am Wochenende.
