Food was overall pretty good. Seemed like a nice outside sitting area. Would go back maybe not during a football game unless you wanted to watch a game- the TVs were well placed.
We were out for a cruise on the motorbikes and got a bit thirsty. We swung into this little bar to wet our whistles. Staff and locals were friendly and the establishment was clean. We didn't stay for too long but will definitely stop by again when the chance arrives.
Loess hills get away. Nothing fancy but worth the drive.
As an aviation enthusiast, I couldn't resist stopping by this place. While I was hoping for more aircraft memorabilia, I found the Roadhouse-style bar to be clean and inviting, and the bartender was friendly. Unfortunately, the kitchen was closed when I visited, so I didn't get a chance to try any food. Nonetheless, I recommend this spot if you're driving through the picturesque countryside on Old Lincoln Highway, just north of the Hitchcock Nature Trails entrance in Honey Creek, Iowa.
The toasted bun was burnt, the bacon on the burgers was also overcooked, and the burger itself was dry and overdone. My wife said her tenderloin was decent. The waitress was very friendly, and she will likely be the main reason we consider returning. However, the atmosphere feels very old and outdated and could use some refreshing.
