Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe've always visited here when in Honfleur but have to say it will be our last. First we were wedged into a corner on the outside terrace with very little room to swing a cat. Drinks are expensive (€4.70 for a 25ml bottle of beer) so we gave it a miss and went for 2 Ricards. We both went for the €24.90 formule - I had the 6 oysters which were that thin they had to be scraped from the shell whilst my wife had the mussels in white wine & cream (OK but nothing special), for mains we both went for the monkfish skewers with rice in a saffron sauce which were nice; dessert both went for the tarte au pomme which came with nothing else- no cream, nothing. With a bottle of wine the bill came to €76 which for a very average meal seemed very expensive. Service wasn't great either - I think we got the most unfriendly one who we've seen before here. What a shame but we won't be back as there are so many others to choose from.
We stopped here for lunch and were made very welcome on arrival. Our food arrived promptly, with ample portions and good quality. We would certainly stop here again.
To come back to this restaurant was a must for us. We found it by chance 2 years ago and wanted to revisit it again with a friend. None of us were disappointed with the food. We all had a three course set menu which was just under €14 - great value. Bottle of wine €23-a little steep, but not uncommon in Honfleur. Mussels and pate for starters, chicken in calvedos and Salmon for mains (It's the best salmon I have ever had) and tart for desert. The green beans with the chicken weren't brilliant but edible. Service was good and staff attentive. The only thing that I found a little disappointing is they re-dressed our table with damp linen.
I would have had to stay in in Honfleur a long time to justify this claim, but we have visited the town many times over the years, and this has always been our favourite.
We love this restaurant, very good fruit de mare for Honfleur, main course is always wonderful. We always go to eat here every time we are in Honfleur. Staff are very efficient and very friendly and, thank goodness, they do not speak English. I hate it in restaurants when they assume, just because we have an English accent, that we haven't bothered to learn the language.
