The Chequers Inn - Hope Valley

This has all the appearance of a traditional country pub. However, the food, as well as the service, takes dining to another level altogeher. The insides are clean and well looked after. The tables are shiny and polished and are not sticky with overwaxinglike some pubs. The service is really friendly, welcoming and down to earth. And the beer is good. However, it's the food that raises the bar (pardon the pun). The flavours of the food are well matched and exceptional. It may sound expensive but there is a reason and it is an excellent reason; the food is absolutely exquisite. Is there anything to recommend? It's all good.No, Really, it is!

A lovely country pub, warm welcoming with an open fire. The staff were polite friendly provided excellent service. Great choice of menu with classics something a bit different. Prices were reasonable too. A great experience.

A nice restaurant with great staff. Food was fabulous

We just had New Year dinners with our best friends and family and had a wonderful experience, friendly friendly friendly people, fantastic food and service. Absolutely 5 stars from all of us and cannot wait to go back and also get a fabulous fudge!!
