Avaliação da contribuiçãoThe restaurant serves a decent lunch, but upon entering the dining area I found it closed and filled with junk. I ended up getting my food to go and had to find a spot to eat out of a Styrofoam container with a plastic fork. The meal was mediocre at best, with the meat tasting reheated and tough to chew. The only redeeming factor was the vegetables, which were unfortunately halfway in the trash. I would recommend looking elsewhere for a meal.
I ordered takeout from this restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. The portions were so generous that we were able to enjoy it for two days. Highly recommend trying it out!
The Chinese food at this restaurant in Hope is top-notch! It's a cozy little spot with a warm and welcoming staff who truly care about their customers and the community. I wanted to leave a review saying just that, but it seems I needed to write at least 100 characters, so here we are!
We went around an hour when we found this place and were very hungry. The restaurant did not look very nice, but the food was very nice and much of it at the price.
Kan Yon Restaurant was a venue chosen for an early lunch one day, during our 3 night stay in Hope last week. We had left the motel on a “lets find some lunch” walkabout — with “lets try to keep it ‘light’, and at a place untried...as yet”. Our choice, though a touch different from what we had had in mind at the outset, worked out quite fine, and we got to sample another dining experience during our stay. We were warmly greeted by the owner/cook (our server at that time as well) when we entered and chose a table. He was a delight, and provided some much appreciated help with our ordering. We liked his attitude, and approach — mix, match, or whatever, and share anyway was a go!! We had wished to keep it ‘light’, and chose to order and share two of the ’one dish’ lunch specials — which included a fried rice, chicken, veggies, chow mein noodles, and such. And for the amount of food, it worked out quite fine. I added a cold brew for a cool touch to start! Small, family owned and operated restaurant, warm friendly service, serving up some “old fashioned” western style Chinese food — it was a fun dining experience.
