Avaliação da contribuiçãoA proper friendly old pub. Beer choice nothing special but a nice warm fire and friendly enough clientele. Ideal spot to stop off for a pint after a walk up Penshaw monument on a cold day.
A proper village pub with no airs and graces, roaring fires and cold beers. Not as busy as the pub next door but for me that is part of the charm.
Haven't been for a while, partly because it was always so empty, but was pleasantly surprised, quite a few people in, and it was a lovely friendly atmosphere, bar staff friendly and a lovely open fire,
This pub has a great friendly atmosphere is well frequented by locals and outsiders it has a good range of ales large beer garden smoking area 2 open fires and welcoming staff
