Avaliação da contribuiçãoBest fajitas fajitas hands down. Their chips and salsa is pretty great too. Love this place. It’s a little pricey, but the food’s worth it.
I’ve been passing back-and-forth by the Lupe Tortilla restaurant for months on 1960. Every time I pass by no matter if it’s lunch, afternoon or night the parking lot seems nearly full. Given the enormous amount of Tex-Mex restaurants in this area I figured the popularity had to be driven by either free liquor or absolutely cheap food. So instead of speculating, I decided to go in and try. The decor is very upbeat and entertaining. We found the menu to be as broad-based as any Tex-Mex restaurant in this area. I tried the combination plate that included a little bit of everything and I found all of it delicious. The beef enchilada was rich and delicious, The tamale was flavorful with real meat inside. The rice was surprisingly moist. Can’t recall having rice where it was so moist and almost begged to be eaten by itself. Ultimately the prices are a little higher than in the past but that is the post Covid world we live in. I found the experience worth coming back again. Now I think I better understand why there’s always a crowd in the parking lot.
Decided to order lunch and watch the lunch menu. I have seen and ordered suppe and salat. Nowhere in the menu you say that the lunch soup is different than the regular suppen order. that was the worst tortilla suppe I ever had, was the broth that chickenfajita cut with tomato and paprika. I called, but they said that the midday portion does not come with cheese and tortilla stripes and I also guess mais. to go the host did not offer to make it right, since I was obviously not satisfied with our lunch. worse $24 we spent after I didn't help over the phone, I went in and spoke to manager he refunded my money and apologized for the wrong information as the suppe came with the extra tips. I appreciate his customer service.
I love it here. complimentary charro beaning before their meal are some of the best I ever had. the table side guacamole is a meal in itself. the fajitas are delicious my absolute favorite thing to get each time is the shrimp Rice stew that is in the grunde gumbo with cheese. the aromen everything in it - I say-better than that of some of the popular seafood cajun restaurants round. the garnelen campechana is also one of our favourites to order. next to the delicious food, the service is always beyond the out.
This is the first time I actually write a review on a place but I cannot stay quiet. The food here is not cooked right . The chilaquiles were basically 5 day old chips and we’re tough to chew almost rubbery. The potatoes were really soggy and the salad bowl had a big amount of water sitting at the bottom along with again soggy and weirdly cooked food . I’d like to believe it was a fluke and maybe the food was a bit past expired and management failed to catch that. The service on the other hand is great , our waiter was very friendly and fast paced with taking our order so no complains there but again I’d like to believe it was a fluke.
