Shake Shack First National Building Downtown Detroit

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant for the first time, and my experience was outstanding. I loved the convenience of ordering directly at the kiosk without any wait, which made the process smooth. I chose the spicy buffalo cheese fries and a chocolate-vanilla milkshake, while my husband went for the Shroom burger. The service was quick, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. The food was freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. The milkshakes were a real treat—perfectly blended and not too thick, so I could enjoy them right away. My only small gripe was the extra charge for whipped cream, which is usually complimentary at ice cream shops. Aside from that, everything else was fantastic, and I would definitely come back!

This is a charming and relaxing place to unwind. While the outdoor seating felt a bit cramped, it was certainly worth it to enjoy a refreshing OMB Craft Beer on a sunny day. The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich was packed with flavor—spicy and juicy. The Burger was exceptional, perfectly charred on the patty and complemented by the sweet ketchup. Truly delightful! The staff and service were also excellent. The Buffalo Fries were decent, but I will definitely return for a quick lunch. Plus, it’s conveniently located right next to the golf course!

During my road trip, I was excited to stop at Shake Shack and even downloaded their app to place my order ahead of time. I found the app very user-friendly. Although I initially had a hard time locating the doggy bag of bones, I was delighted to discover the treats when I picked up my order. This was great news since BOCCE is my little dog's favorite brand. As a mostly vegetarian eater, I opted for the Portobello burger with avocado, and it was absolutely delicious. The breaded mushroom was crispy and packed with flavor. I'm really hoping Shake Shack opens a location in Tallahassee, FL! While the prices are slightly on the higher side, the quality of the food is excellent. At this location, the staff was not only incredibly efficient but also very friendly. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

The ingredients are of excellent quality, and it truly reflects in the taste. However, this does come with a cost—approximately $15 for a single burger, fries, and a large drink. Go ahead and indulge yourself! You might as well get a shake while you're there.

While the food was delicious, I didn’t think it was worth the price. We ended up spending $30 for two people, which seems quite steep compared to what we could have paid at similar places. To me, it felt like a more upscale version of Steak N Shake. The service was satisfactory, and the interior was fairly clean.
