Only One Jamaican - HYDE PARK

The fried food disappears faster than your mom pays the rent! You really need to go early and enjoy it because I know I do!

I’ve had better, but I’ll definitely return to try more. There’s a seating area (currently closed due to COVID), and the staff are friendly and very efficient. It's a nice neighborhood restaurant, but not worth a special trip across the city. The portions are generous, but the flavors are a bit lacking—great for those who prefer milder dishes. The fried chicken was cooked perfectly, but the rice and cauliflower were quite bland, especially the cauliflower.

The restaurant is quite disorganized, and the food options are limited. The staff's attitude is also unwarranted. Given that I paid for my meal during my last visit, I won't be returning to this location. The food was terrible—day-old chicken that was definitely not fresh and dried out from sitting out too long.

The atmosphere here is a bit off-putting and doesn't feel very welcoming. While the food is decent, it could use a bit more flavor; some seasoning would really enhance the dishes. However, the patties are quite good.

The prices on their monitors should be updated if they're only offering one size. The food was decent, but I felt I overspent on two lunches. I don't think I'll be coming back.
