Perfect Plaice - Hyndburn

Called in last night ordered meat pie,chips,peas,and gravy, the pie, peas,and gravy,was excellent but the chips were like dinner time warm ups very chewy and not good at all,would expect fresh at the price you pay.

Went in today for lunch,my mum is in the care home opposite.The friendliest funniest staff you will meet anywhere.Had a real laugh with the two girls while waiting for my order.Excellent value for money,great fish and the spicy curry sauce was to die for.Next time I'm over in the UK I will definitely be calling in.PS the teacakes were a bargain lol

My son and I visited Accrington for a football match, and before we travelled, I looked for the top rated Fish Chip shop in the town, on Trip Advisor. We visited at about 630pm on a Tuesday evening, and there was a group of customers waiting for their order ahead of us, and more came in after we gave our order. This is clearly a popular place to eat. I had fish and chips and my son had a large battered sausage and chips. We took them away to eat in our car. The staff were oaky, not particularly friendly but they were very busy, so no real negatives. The shop appeared clean and tidy. The food itself was nothing but ordinary and I really do feel that the people of Accrington are missing out if this is voted their best. the batter was thin and tasteless, the fish was adequate, the sausage was usual chip shop fare, and the portion of well cooked chips wasn't large. Ordinary is the only word for it, and there surely has to be a better place in a town of this size. There certainly are far better chip shops around the country. Would I return? Probably not, or at least not before I tried the other shops because I simply cannot believe a better one doesn't exist.

Absolutely amazing! Can't fault this place. Food is fresh, not greasy, well worth an eat. They have a different menu with salt and pepper favourites. A must try!
