Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe ate here both nights of our stay in heringen from the menu table d’hote - each night a different menu was provided. the food was fresh, delicious and cooked for perfection. the service was friendly, inconvenient and efficient and the two cure menu at euro per...person great value. the restaurant was quite busy and our table on the terrace comfortable, despite the high air temperature.
We stopped here for lunch when we drove from Freiburg to colmar. we had no idea what to expect, but the restaurant looked well maintained and so we ordered lunch. holzoefele is specialized in local dishes, with some tears. my wife had the wild herb salad; I had the poisoning. both were very good. recommended!
Visited to dinner after first tried the guest house over the road that was closed. looked outside under their brandy at a warm evening and ordered steak that came to perfection. I always hesitate to recommend restaurants that have been separately priced, as I believe that this is a break, but at this occasion the cost was well worth it, as the meal was really fantastic. the local wine in the offer was good, although their wine card went from euros to euros, which I thought for a rural restaurant a bit over the top. we had a bottle of red that was very nice. the staff was attentive and friendly that made the evening very pleasant
Trusted friends recommended the wood panel for excellent eating and atmosphere at premium prices. the restaurant tries to offer that and then some. it was the one where they were short. we arrived without reservations and were forced to play the one we fully booked...but play. we soon sat in the half-full internal kitchen. no big thing, that's the price they pay to not know exactly when they arrive. the dining room was big, a bit old-fashioned, but still close. other reviewers commented on the waiting staff. we had an ugly waiter who immediately tried to accuse us. my wife ordered the grilled dorade and I the tuna steak. I rarely eat thunfish when I am not on a coast where it is fresh and I always specify exactly how I want it to be prepared in the middle uncooked. the answer of the waiter was a haughty, of course! so we always prepare it before the service was slow, but the restaurant was crowded. our glasses ran dry, but no one came by to offer more drinks. if I own the restaurant, I wouldn't be very happy about it. drinks are among the highest percentages of profit in a restaurant. finally the meals came. the thunfischsteak was the thinnest I've ever eaten, and was medium-heavy. the dorade of my wife was perfectly done. I sent my plate back to the kitchen to get a replacement. it came back very quickly. this time the thin band was made perfectly on the inside but not on the outside. this is to be expected when the steak is cut too thin. regarding the ambiente of the restaurant, it was a bit too loud for a comfortable conversation. the table settings were beautiful and the drinks were as expected in a raised restaurant. the toilets were clean and fresh. I usually expect a farewell from a restaurant in this class, but I suspect that the waiter did not want to restart after his angry job.
We had a medium good carpaccio, fantastic chicken and a good wine. Our plan was to stay longer for dessert and coffee. But we got tired of waiting and listening to the service. We did not complain, specialfly not when we heard, how it was...handled at other tables. Here is great food and wine, some good tables, but lack of service, which was'nt the case days before.
