Avaliação da contribuiçãoLunchtime was nigh over and things were winding down in the Gourmet food destination that is Westfield Indooroopilly Food Court but our 3 year old was ravenous (having slept through proper lunch) and this was the closest to anything he would consider eating. Service was ordinary it took a long time to get attention and our meagre cup of tea each was never topped up / refilled. Deceptively for a Sushi train restaurant what looks like one long snaking train is in fact two separate ones, and we had the misfortune of being on the back one, which clearly they'd decided to stop restocking (without alerting us to this fact when we were looking for a seat). The range was limited, dull and mediocre in quality. Perhaps even more annoying they couldn't even spell Japanese right on the poster hanging immediately above where I was sitting (surely that's one bit of English even the most diehard of Asian restaurants should be able to get right). I'm not going to be rushing back.
Sushi was average at best, and some selections that were on the 'train' looked worse for wear so we didn't even bother trying. Hubby ordered off the menu - teriyaki chicken tasted like it was re-heated in the microwave. Was surprised at what the bill came to for a few simple sushi. If you are a real sushi lover - not recommended!
Visited here countless times with my partner. The staff are always so friendly to us, and remember our usual order. Food has always been fresh and i've never had any problems with an order. Honestly couldn't recommend this place enough. Best sushi we've had. 5 stars.
It's our Friday hang out now, thanks to its attentive staff, cheap and fresh dishes and fast service. They offer a very good selection for vegans, too, and it's very accessible!
The Good:Soft drinks selections at sushi restaurants can be poor but this restaurant had a nice selection including Noah's custom juices which were really yummy. The Not So Good:Very average sushi. It looked great on the train but sadly not nearly as good to eat. I tried the eel (ok I guess) and the salmon (rubbery and lacking in flavor) then left and went to the food court to fill up on Hungry Jacks.Service was ok but we went for the sushi so will not return.Sushi 79 in Jindalee is still the benchmark for cheap quick sushi in Brisbane.
