African Soul Food - Inglewood

I am so excited to try this place as I've only heard good things about it. Was in LA today on business so this made sense. First I tasted the Fried Rice. I could taste the Curry in the rice and then instant Flavor Bomb. Jolif Rice was also very taste as I order a Side for later. I had a Beef Patty that looks very similar to a Jamaican Patty. It was very flavorful and not Spicy as you might think. But still very good. They are also Handmade. Best part was the Egusi Soup. Rich, flavorful and cooked to order. I would drive from Orange County to LA for this any day. I'll definitely be back. Yallhollatchaboy

First off the customer service was trash! I ordered ahead of time online and when I got to the restaurant supposedly they didn't receive my online order. And instead of helping me as soon as I got there the cashier decided to help the 6 people behind me first and I had to wait about 30mins more from when my order was ready. I felt a little discriminated against to be honest and she was rude.The food was not as good as how much I paid for everything. It was too overpriced and not work the money. I would not recommend this place I would go elsewhere.

Super mediocre expensive. I was expecting something $8.99 for the soup combo. The place is like a run down donut shop, the food is like a choose 3 in a styrofoam box Chinese place. I got the soup combo. Cup of soup a few chunks of on the bone chicken, and the dumpling. Got a bubbly water too. $28. Haha no thanks. Could 've went to Zinque and gotten a martini and food for less. Will be surprised if this place lasts another 6 months.

First time eating at sumptuous and man o man it was really delicious the food was hot and fresh. I already can wait until my next visit.my plate consists of Egusi w/Fufu and my husband had the vegetable spinach soup w/Fufu, customer service was amazing that's sumptuous for amazing food and service

I always order from here through UBER and Postmates, and in person. However, Saturday, 09/17/22, I was here, customer service was terrible. Lady in the front was very rude to a customer over the red sauce and meat issue. I ordered my food (jollof rice, eba okra, extra assorted meat and moin-moin). I waited 45 minutes for eba and okra soup to be ready. Meanwhile, she already packed my jollof rice in bowl and left it at the counter. Okra soup tasted nasty, I felt like I was eating more stick than okra. This tells the okra was not fresh and no stew on top of okra either. Also I left the restaurant with cold jollof rice because attendant packed the jollof rice while waiting for other items to be ready. She could have waited for other items to be ready before packing the jollof rice into the bowl. Tripe is also very tough to chew. I really enjoyed the goat meat. You need to improve. I love supporting my people.
