Demi's Place - ISLAND PARK

Amazing breakfast Hero!! Best breakfast sandwich I have had in 51 yrs!!! Then bun was 12 long! And the dough was the most perfect texture consistency and taste! I would choose that roll for any sandwiches I would make if I had a food truck! The owner is swell and friendly to talk too. However the lead waitress was rude to the customers next to us insisting they sit at the window. They wanted to sit at the counter. I'm not sure why. I think the table at the window needed dishes removed and cleaned but when she offered to clean they went to the counter to sit and she was a bit demanding they were taken back by her demanding. Rather weird. But otherwise she was pleasant enough. Would definitely go back!

One of Island Park's best kept secrets. Great food, affordable prices and understated charm. You'll walk in to a warm hello and inviting smells of a diner.

The coffee, food, and service were all excellent. Athena was very friendly and offered tons of helpful suggestions for my first trip to NYC. Can't recommend highly enough!

Good spot for breakfast. Tiny dining table area with mostly 2-tops and about an 8-person counter, you will likely have a wait. Food was good, prepared quickly, served hot. Service was polite but a bit terse, like they had to work at being polite. There are other places for breakfast that are as good or better, but probably not as inexpensive, prices were good. Very, very limited parking, you'll likely need to park on the side street, and the challenge of crossing busy Austin Blvd going southbound and not being able to access the parking lot, so having to hang a challenging U-turn, makes it hard to access. Good if you're already in the area, but not worth a special trip.
