Sloan's Tavern - Jennings Lodge

It's a small, to me hole in the wall place I've passed a bunch of times but never thought was a bar. The inside is pretty cozy and intimate with a couple slots, a pool table and a juke box. They had jazz playing while I was there too so that's a kudos from me. I wasn't there for long but I was very happily impressed with the place. I know it's only a review on interiors basically but it's all to say that I will totally be coming back here when I'm in this neck of the woods.

Went in to play the lottery machines. Plenty of seating and ice cold water.

My father went Septic in Portland at my bachelor party and ended up in the ICU at Legacy Emanuel. No one in my family is from Portland. We ended up needing to stay in Portland, away from our homes and families for the better part of 2 months. We basically lived at the hospital. And when we needed a break or a decent meal, we walked to Sloan's. It was an absolute godsend in our worst moments. This is a cool little local neighborhood bar. They have a full bar and really good food, a pool table, a couple of big screens to watch the games, video poker, and a neat old juke box that adds a lot of class. The bartenders are friendly and a lot of regulars that have became familiar faces.
