The Mad Hatter Winery Smoke House

We ordered sandwiches. The other reviewers who say the food was great, good for you, but we never have our lunch. Party of two, two sandwiches and we waited for an hour! Save time and money and hit the hot dog stand near the station. The arnold Palmer also tasted funny. The waiter never asked if everything was good or followed what indicated that there was a problem or delay. You should pay people to come to their institution at this rate. We were one of at least three who came out.

This is one of the SLOWEST restaurants I?ve ever dined at. Once my girlfriend and I were sat down, it took about 25 minutes for our waiter to bring over waters, and another hour and a half to receive our food. The salmon burger was completely charred on both sides, and the brisket sandwich was extremely small considering the $16.00 price tag. Our side dishes were also tiny (contained in fast food ketchup cups). Do not waste your time or money here. There was a cute dog though.

Had a great breakfast at the Mad Hatter! Excellent coffee, good service and a really wild and eclectic look. Always nice to see a playable acoustic guitar in the corner! Very good vibes from the place. All the food looked excellent. We sat next to a large party and the pancakes and sandwiches looked amazing! Next time we will go later to try the wine. Will return. And Cosgrove was a most excellent maitre d'hotel!

Wasn't sure what to expect with this place as it is relatively new and couldn't find anything online about it or a menu, but decided to check it out anyways. Small menu but enough variety for each of us to find something. The food was good and had a variety of specialty cocktails and their own wine. We had the pulled brisket sandwich, trio sampler of pulled pork, brisket and chicken sandwiches plus a sirloin and shrimp salad.

Had dinner there last night. Was surprised to be waited on by the owner,, was a nice touch. Food and portions were great. The filet and shrimp salad that my friends ordered look delicious. When in Jim Thorpe, please give this place a try. Hope next visit we can get real plates and silverware. But a great meal for the 4 of us
