Umekes Fish Market Grill - Kailua Kona

I was really excited to try this place. The reviews seemed great, but my experience there was moderate. The hostess and waitress were very nice. I have Poke Nachos and they could have had more ingredients. Don't get me wrong, it was okay, but I might have loved some mango or something else. My husband was really hungry and got her big mixed plate, but he still left hungry. Overall, it is a nice restaurant, friendly staff, but save your money. The price is much too expensive for what you get.

The place has a beautiful atmosphere and the server was friendly. we received a discount of 10% because we were guests at the wyndham hotel. eating on the other was just average. the fish and chips and the fish tacos were below the average. the fish was bland. the makai plate was average. but the pommes were excellent.

Great local fish and other food. We got the poke flight great way to try more than one of their excellent selection of poke! Also had the fish tacos got cajun seared and it was FANTASTIC! Cooked, but not over cooked. Great strong and delicious drinks too. Friendly staff.

Great fresh seafood. One of the best poke dishes I?ve had. Good quality. Quick service. 2 minute walk to the Kona brewery so if there is a wait you can grab a beer!

Popular seafood restaurant offering a variety of choices such as steak, poke, burger, and tacos. The meals are tasty and filling, as they come in large portions. The waitlist was 13-28 minutes long so make sure you sign in immediately. The burgers were juicy, the fries were addicting, and the tacos were flavorful. Highly recommend the poke.
