Wailele Cafe Outrigger Kona Resort

The ambiance was very good. Although it was a bit pricey for a cafe, the food we ordered tasted outstanding and the drinks were excellent. It would have been nice to have our waters refilled. We had a hard time holding a decent conversation over the loudness of the band speakers. We’d recommend turning the speakers down so patrons can enjoy polite conversation as well as the delicious food. But, overall we had a very good experience.

We were so pleased with our visit to the wailele cafe! We had a flight to catch and they brought us food very quickly, and it was also very good. I was also pleasantly surprised with the prices (after a long vacation on the big island! They don’t advertise their kids menu, but they have one and it was just right for our kids. Additionally, the views were lovely!

The atmosphere could not have been better. View was extraordinary. But you go for a meal and the food was inedible. Waitress was overworked and forgot us. Chopped salad with chicken means they chop some chicken and put it on lettuce. Very strange. Wedge salads and short ribs left uneaten. To top it off the waitress forgot our table and we eventually left cash. When we stood up to leave someone remembered us and ran over. So disappointing.

Limited menu. Had Ahi and seafood chowder for appetizer. Shortribs and grilled ahi tuna for dinner. Macadamia nut pie for dessert. All delicious. Service was spot on and singers were terrific.
