Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe had a really good afternoon/evening here and it was a friendly and happy pace to be on a Saturday. The food was was fine although the menu was a little limited, but what we had was great. Great staff as well.
When my partner and I went to Ducks Nuts this even we were met by a very rude bar attendant who just stared at the till while we were at the bar. We were hungry so ordered quickly but were very disappointed with both the food and the service. I had the chicken parmigiana which is an all-time favorite of mine and it was likely one of the worst ones I 've had, it came with a sloppy potato salad and the 'salad ' was just a packet of leaves [rocket, spinach etc] with dressing. The schnitzel itself was easily half the size of most pubs around Canberra (Civic Pub, the Dock to name a couple) even though it was only slightly cheaper. My partner got the chicken burger which was okay but for a special where you had to add fries for $5 and then he was still starving so we had to go to McDonalds on the way home. I never write bad reviews but was very disappointed with Ducks Nuts tonight.
Being from interstate for a short visit, as always on a mid size budget, thought the Sunday night Roast special was good value and as we intended to eat during happy hour, cheap drinks!! Loved the meal, generous proportions for my wife and I, all delivered by smiling and friendly staff. Although eating early (18:00 ish) atmosphere was enjoyable and would recommend to friends to try it.
Hmmm very disappointed. Went here with my son on Friday night. Good atmosphere. Not to crowded for a Friday night. Friendly staff. But food was well under par. I had the duck salad which was limp and drowned in dressing. How can you get a salad wrong? My son, an indiscriminate burger lover, had the beef burger and commented that it was average. The halloumi chips were nice. Visited this place back in March/April and had a good meal. Don’t know what’s happened. Skip this place and go elsewhere. There’s plenty of choice in the precinct.
We went to Ducks Nuts as part of a group to celebrate a sporting event. The staff were great accommodating are big party and although we were a little spread out it was a great atmosphere and the drinks were flowing. Food was great and quite generous too. A great place to catch up.
