Gus's Bbq - Kalkbaai iNingizimu Afrika

Where to start. There was good and bad. The pulled pork was excellent, the Brisket was cold and old. The BBQ sauces were good. Most of the side dishes were good. Cole Slaw, Potato Salad ect. The atmosphere was chain design like an Applebee's or something. Nice but not charming or unique. They use real plates and silverware, not paper plates and plastic utensils. I like that. They serve lemonade and ice tea in a Mason Jar, I hate that... Cheap/fake. The price is high to very high, $8 for a beer and $30+ for a Entree plate, but part of that is due to the neighborhood.

Had a good time with co-workers for a Thanksgiving get-together. They had greens! The food was delicious. Cornbread was to die for. Generous portions, everyone was happy. Best part, leftovers! The server seemed to be a little down, but we gave a nice tip anyway. Happy Holidays!

BBQ Chicken sandwich was great. Brisket was a little tough.

By far one of my favorite places. Great food and great staff.
