They had maybe two tables and an empty restaurant yet we were turned away immediately because they were "too busy. "We decided to go back the next time we were in the area and we were the only people there, yet the food took ages to get to us. The sushi tasted worse than grocery store sushi, with hard rice and tasted awful. the vegetables were soggy and the food was not good at all. Only decent thing there was the drink. Will never go again, and i don 't suggest it to anyone. Staff was very unpleasant and rude
Was the worst sushi experience I’ve ever had. 4 of us got all you can eat. It came one at a time with 20 mins in between each dish. We couldn’t wait anymore for our food to come so we left, hungry and very disappointed. It was super expensive and everything tasted the same.
The prices are very affordable, the service is pleasant and friendly, and the food is fresh. I will definitely come back.
This was our first time trying Kanata Sushi for AYCE given it was closeby the theatre and we were the only people in the restaurant. These owners have some strategy where they delay the timing of food based on the profit they're making. We ordered a lot of sashimi and sushi and we got the sashimi 40 mins later. It was super awkward cause I swear the sushi chief was chilling on his phone for 10-15 mins.The quality of the sushi was pathetic. Cubed sashimi which is about a quarter size of a regular piece of sashimi fish. The maki rolls had way too much rice to fish and ingredient ratio.I would not recommend this restaurant for AYCE.
My family and I recently dined at Kanata Sushi with our two young daughters. Upon arrival, there was only one other table occupied in the restaurant. Despite arriving at 5:30, by 6:45 we had still not received our full order. My husband received his sashimi at 6pm, but the rest of his order, including additional rolls, had still not arrived by 6:45. At that time, there were only three other diners in the restaurant. Frustrated by the slow service and lack of courtesy, we decided to cancel the remainder of our order and requested to pay à la carte since we had not been able to experience the "all you can eat" option. The service was not only slow but also very unfriendly, with even the robot server moving at a sluggish pace. We have never left an all you can eat restaurant feeling hungry, but unfortunately, that was the case after dining at Kanata Sushi.
