Avaliação da contribuiçãoLoved this place!!! The food was amazing. The decor was lovely. Unfortunately, service was subpar, but the food made up for it. I just moved here from LA, and this has been my favorite dining experience so far. My friend and I shared the ricotta pintxos, patatas bravas, mussels, chicken skewers, elotes and their crème brûlée like dessert and all was fantastic!! 5 stars for the meal. -1 star for slow service bc on several occasions we couldn't find our waitress
Stopped in there on the way home from the airport for a late night dinner the place was amazingly crowded which I was very happy about but we got our favorite seat and what we call the crotch. Eight light so we just got a house salad in my favorite mushrooms, and the ever delicious yet bit pricey cabaralles. I have to say the wine list was nice and they were very many choices for just a glass of wine since that's all we needed I do love the sangria there though if you're going for to hang for a bit I would highly recommend a pitcher of sangria. The service was fabulous the atmosphere is always beautiful there and watching lots of folks on dates is always fun to do especially from that particular seat. ,;)Highly recommend ordering the tapas a few at a time you'll be excited to try a lot but sometimes they're bigger portions than you might expect and just enjoy.
La Bodega is the GOAT in terms of tapas bars in KC. Here 's why:1. One of the best happy hours in the city2. Sangria on fleekI used to live in Barcelona and this is my spot when I 'm feeling homesick for Patatas Bravas. The only con is that the tables can be really close together. I have a big booty so I have almost knocked over many a pitcher of sangria here.... To overcome this, I always make a reservation and request a table for full size adults .... It helps. :
Came here for my husbands birthday and it was AMAZING! We had gone to Spain for our honeymoon and had eaten paella an embarrassing amount of times. This paella was so good and took us right back! Would definitely come back here.
Decided to try out La Bodega for restaurant week! First off, I think this place is just the cutest! It feels like you're in the country side of Spain! The service was impeccable as well. Our server answered every annoying question I had and was incredibly knowledgeable in the menu. Plus it was Happy Hour and the sangria was amazing. We started off with a Spanish beef stew as our first course. Full of braised ribs, tomatoes, and peppers, this was a perfect soft entry into our night. For our second course, it was an appetizer platter with marinated olives (I don't normally like olives but these were really good and I ate them all! some grilled chicken with some amazing garlic sauce, some toasted burratta which was my favorite and then a little saffron rice fritter with an aioli. All were really good and a nice way to sample everything special for the week. For my entree I got the mussels, shrimp and monkfish in a nice saffron broth with rice. Everything was cooked perfectly and the shrimp were really big! That's always a plus. My friend got the butternut squash and goat cheese crepes and she said they were just okay-so keep that in mind I guess! For dessert we got both the rice pudding and the sweet potato donuts. Both really good and unique in their own ways! Really glad I tried this place out!
