Avaliação da contribuiçãoThe “Gasthof Tödtling” is located in the north of kapfenberg, a few kilometers from the city centre, in the city district harbour village. the large building next to a circular traffic of a main road can hardly be overlooked. this restaurant is known for its homemade. therefore, in the summer its ice cup attracts large quantities. When I arrived to eat here on a rather warm early morning to lunch, I had only a short look at the quite attractive interieur of the “Gasthof Tödtling”, but decided to take a place outside on its small terrace, which extends on both sides of the main entrance. these external seats proved to be pleasantly airy, but were not separated from the near circular traffic and therefore quite loud. that spoiled the atmosphere. besides the permanent menu, which includes the dishes of Austrian and international cuisine, in most restaurants in this region you will also find a quite comprehensive menu of the day (which was supposed to be a menu of the season). some of the dishes listed on the latter were especially advertised on the chalkboards at the entrance. since I had chosen one of the courts of the day and that the place was not crowded, the waiting time was not as short as expected, but also not excessively long. the court I had ordered consisted of pasta with a filling on the basic wild garlic beautifully arranged around a baptismal salate on an orange plate. the dish tasted quite good, but perhaps a bit more pleasant for the eye than for the palate, because I would like to have the aroma of the wild garlic more pronounced. Nevertheless, I appreciated the well seasoned salad. the part was of ordinary size and the price was reasonable and corresponded to the level that one expects for a restaurant of this type in kapfenberg. because the service was also correct, I found my lunch in the “Gasthof Tödtling” absolutely okay.
