Kohala Burger Taco - Kawaihae

Stumbled upon this place after leaving Mauna Kea beach. We had 2 of the most delicious breakfast burritos, and some fries. Super affordable, the food was fantastic and the employees were just lovely to chat with. I will definitely be heading there again before I leave the big Island of Hawaii, and I think everyone in the area should give it a try too :

The food was decent but was overpriced and the portion sizes were much smaller than expected. For a small burger, two tacos, fries, and pineapple shake, the total came to about $50! They also ask you to pay extra for a service charge on top of the subtotal to support them. The place is only open Monday-Thursday 10:30am-1:30pm. If they tried opening for more days and longer hours their prices could be lower. They have no competition in the area for the types of foods they selland they clearly know it.

Holy cow! Amazing! Best fish tacos we've ever had. Creative adorable kids menu. Incredibly family friendly spot. Friendly welcoming staff. Great views to look out into the ocean while eating. Pineapple soft serve is delicious too. Great all around! We will definitely be back!

I didn't get her name, but the lady taking orders was an absolute sweetheart. Food was great! Made fresh. And I got a pack of baseball cards with my order which was pretty cool.
