Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe came here specifically for the fish tacos, they were kind of a farewell. the maistortillas were not great and there was not much fish on them, mostly cauliflower. the mango upstairs was delicious, but overall not much taste.
This place is in Kihei and close to Wailea for food. Ate there for 2 different dinners for take out: Items ordered night 1: Mahi grilled over rice x2 Kalua pork over rice Chicken Alfredo Everybody thought their food was pretty good that night. Next night Mahi grilled over rice Fish and chips x 2 Grilled chicken salad with a pineapple vinaigrette Fish and chips were overcooked and the fish was tough and not flaky Mahi was good Chicken salad was good Overall- if you are looking for well prepared non fried fish this is good If you are looking for Fish and Chips there are better out there in the area….
Hard to overstate just how good the fish chips and the fish tacos are. 10/10. We ate around 12:30 on a weekday, and it wasn't crowded at all. And check out the helpful seafood fish poster near the self-serve area.
We ate at Coconut's Fish Cafe a few times while staying in Kihei and each time our food was excellent. The service at the front counter was always friendly too which we appreciated given how busy the restaurant was (so a lot of pressure on staff) and the fact it seems they are short staffed too. For the fish and chips it was lovely trying the crumbed coating rather than there being a deep fried batter. We also tried the fish tacos and they were also really good. Personally I feel like one order of fish tacos could be shared between two adults as the portion is generous. Definitely give Coconut's Fish Cafe a go while staying in Maui.
There was nothing g famous about these fish tacos. Overloaded with lettuce and small pieces of fish. I had to pick through all the lettuce and tomatoes to find the small pieces of fish. Over $16 for two tacos, I was disappointed with what I received.
