Avaliação da contribuiçãoWould definitely recommend this restaurant. Unpredictable, but served big fish. Pleasant staff. Serving size generous.
With my wife visiting our girls at university. We ordered the Commander Combo (2x fish, 3x scallops, 3x shrimps, 5x onion rings, frits, salad). That was right for two of us. Décor is a bit kitsch with various...sea fishing items. The food was good. We ate inside and it was a bit smokey at times from cooking.
I get fish and chips from here at least a few times a year (And if I have companies from the East (Nova Scotia, for sure Not the cheapest option for take-out, of course fish meals are never, but I have come to believe that it is worth every cent. Your fish is always fresh tasting, tasteful and cooked for perfection. I usually get cod, myself, but I also had Halibut in fish and chip types and also have no complaints. I'm not the biggest fan of Pommes, but my son is, and he's very happy to get her. He is a pretty big fan of this style of French frit, and these frits are just as well reheated in an air freezer, BTW. (That's the fish! The service was always friendly and fast! I really can't remember a time I had to wait more than 10 minutes for an order... Granted, I usually don't go rush hours during the meal, so I can't talk with it. It is usually quite out of our way the opposite end of the city, but it was worth it every time. I hope they stop it! Thanks for constant great service and excellent food, Captain Georges and Crew!
My husband and I love Captain George's fish, but we still have good riders to enjoy. Always dark brown and overcooked, I'm sure if they changed the oil more often, the frits would be good.
Got some quarantine take out fish and chips. The place has a really cute nautical theme which will be nice once you can eat in. Service was great and they made sure we had what we needed. Fish was tasty and fresh from the fryer!
